da dobrowin: Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of a reported transfer target.
da betano casino: Iker Muniain has been linked with a move to Anfield recently as his contract with Athletic Bilbao was set to expire in the summer, however, that appears to no longer be the case.
The Spanish outfit have taken to Twitter to confirm that their star man has agreed to a new deal until 2024.
Their tweet read: “Athletic Club and player Iker Muniain have subscribed to the renewal of the footballer’s contract, meaning he will remain with the Rojiblanca until 30th June 2024. There will be no termination clause.â€
Liverpool were thought to have already “made an offer†to the winger about joining them, with Marca via Sport Witness making the claim.
The Verdict:
The 25-year-old would certainly have offered Liverpool plenty of attacking threat, as the Spaniard is extremely versatile and could have solved an issue that Jurgen Klopp currently has with the creativity within his side.
However, a move looks very unlikely now as Muniain has signed a new deal to remain with Athletic for the foreseeable future.
So, should Klopp still want to address the issue, he will now need to find a new target to help him solve that concern.
