Could Arsene Wenger finally make his return to the Emirates?
Arsenal’s longest-serving manager has been conspicuous by his absence since departing the club after more than two decades at the helm back in 2018.
But according to The Daily Mirror’s John Cross, that could all be set to change. The journalist claims the Gunners hierarchy are “keen to welcome Wenger back to the Emirates and it is understood senior figures at the club have been making inroads to talk him into it.”
It’s further suggested the club are keen for his return in order to help “garner support from the fans”, and help Mikel Arteta’s process of getting the team back to where it should be.

After hearing about the report, supporters of the north London side took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the situation, with many seemingly delighted at his potential comeback.
Some fans however took the opposite point of view, insisting that he ruined the club in his final few years at the club.
Whether it’s intended to help energise the fan-base, or simply honour one of the greatest managers in footballing history, getting Wenger to come back to the Emirates should be a no-brainer.
The Frenchman deserves to have that choice, after all the years of trophies and success he enjoyed at the club. Whilst things didn’t end as he may have wanted, his place in the history books can never be erased.
