da poker: Paul Pogba’s agent has instructed all interested club’s to make his client “want to leave” Juventus amid claims Manchester United are willing to pay a world-record fee for his signature.
da supremo: The France international’s future has been dominating headlines over the course of the past few weeks, with reports claiming that the Red Devils are eager to splash the cash with a £100m bid to lure their former youth star back to Old Trafford.
Indeed, Jose Mourinho is believed to have earmarked a fourth signing of the summer, hinting that Pogba is wanted, but it’s also claimed that Real Madrid are interested in the 23-year-old, while a new contract at Juventus has also been mooted.
And now his agent, Mino Raiola, has given a further update on the midfielder’s situation, claiming that, although he’s in no rush to leave the Serie A champions, he could be lured away by the right “project” after a move to Chelsea fell through in 2015:
“Last year, when the bid came in, I really wanted him to go to Chelsea. It didn’t happen but this year we will see.” He is quoted by the Mirror.
“Juve do not want to sell him and there is a chance for us to talk about a new contract. He feels no need to leave.
“But if you come with a project that will make Paul want to leave, we’ll talk with the club.”
Although Man United are widely seen as front-runners for Pogba’s signature, the Premier League heavyweights are believed to be looking at Moussa Sissoko and Blaise Matuidi as alternatives.
