da supremo: Manchester City’s front three absolutely tore West Ham apart at the London Stadium last night. The Citizens have enjoyed their trips to the Hammers’ home ground this season, and although the 5-0 FA Cup win was notable, this showing may well be more impressive given that an exciting triumvirate of Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane ran riot.
da wazamba: Although the Brazilian newbie – who officially joined the Manchester heavyweights in January – stole the headlines with his two goals, Sane really deserves some praise for his stunning showing. The German arrived from Schalke over the summer with a big reputation and an even bigger price-tag and, despite a few notable showings, hasn’t really set the world alight at the Etihad Stadium.

However, last night was, perhaps, his best performance in the sky blue shirt as he worked perfectly with his two youthful partners up front – the trio’s average age is just 20.
As the numbers show, Sane had a huge say on the final result, contributing one assist and being heavily involved with 51 touches of the ball. He also maintained a pass success rate of 86% and made four dribbles, showing that he can match his attacking flair with composure on the ball.
